Brief Description :
Each chapter of the book deals with some questions and attempts to explore solutions to it. It is in conversation style. Assuming a group of people is discussing a problem and the author is acting either as initiator or coordinator. This has been made clear in the first chapter that author is no authority but only acting as a link. The questions are like- in spite of the fact that at the time of birth left hemisphere of the female is more developed than a male child but the society is still male-dominated. Why?

What happens when someone uses the women as inferior? Mahabharata has been re-lived through the example of Duryodhana who mistreated Kunti and Draupadi. Duryodhana was a capable king who always worked for the good of the public but we know him as a villain.

Male and female are complementary to each other. There is nothing common between them except – interest in sex, children and the home. What happens when women as wife attempt to become like her husband? Through the example of Gandhari explorations have been made. The last chapter deals with, is marriage necessary? Interferences made by so many agencies like traditions, social approvals, courts, etc have caused a situation when the existence of marriage as an institution is becoming questionable. It is like when a child uses some voice the mother gives meaning to it. You will not find any person weak in the expression of the mother tongue. Why? He has learned the language through the mother who considers him ‘unique’. When the same grown-up man attempts to learn ‘English’ through grammar he never learns the language. Mushroom growth of English speaking programs confirms the logic.
